In the Bible are God’s pastors and Satan’s pastors (false
pastors). There are three kinds of the pastor who belong to God. They are
pastors of prophecy, general pastors, and promised pastors. A pastor of prophecy
is chosen by God to make known God’s prophecies to the future generations; they
are prophets who speak on behalf of God. Secondly, a general pastor is not one
chosen by God, but one set up by men in their respective denominations, under
their own discretions. A general pastor tells of the prophecies that are already
made by the prophets before them, as well as of the news of their fulfillment.
This includes the pastors who have preached and are preaching the fulfillment of
the Old Testament today. The pastors of the CCK are a part of this group. A
general pastor’s appointed task is completed and thus comes to an end when the
prophecies fulfill. Lastly, a promised pastor is one who is promised beforehand
by God. When the appointed time comes, he appears and preaches what he has seen
and heard. Jesus was the promised pastor at the First Coming. There is also a
promised pastor (the one who overcomes) of the Second Coming that Jesus promised
of beforehand in Matthew 24 and Revelation (Rv 2, 3, 10). When the promised
pastor comes, the appointed task of the general pastors comes to an end (Lk
16:16). At that time, in order to attain salvation, the congregation members of
the churches must believe the promised pastor rather than their own pastors.
This is true of the First and the Second Coming.
